Throwback Thursday for 19th October

In today’s Throwback Thursday, we remember the origins of yet another Command & Conquer icon – the Obelisk of Light. It’s been present in every single Tiberium universe game, and has remained fundamentally the same since its first appearance. In the original Command & Conquer, it was Nod’s advanced anti-surface defense structure and the counterpart to the GDI Advanced Guard Tower. Zapping everything in a wide range, the Obelisk of Light made sure no GDI scum came close to Nod bases, and making a powerful and satisfying sound when doing so.
