This is a brief look at the history of companies who have developed games for the Command & Conquer franchise. Starting with Westwood Studios, the creators of Command & Conquer.
Westwood Studios/Westwood Pacific (1995–2002)
Westwood Studios was a computer and video game developer, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was founded by Brett Sperry and Louis Castle in 1985 as Westwood Associates, and renamed to Westwood Studios when it merged with Virgin Interactive in 1992. The company was bought from Virgin Interactive by Electronic Arts (EA) in 1998, and closed by EA in 2003. Westwood Studios are the original creators of Command & Conquer starting in 1995.
Westwood was best known for developing real-time strategy game series, adventure and role-playing genres. It received an entry to the Guinness book of records, for selling more than 10 million copies of Command & Conquer worldwide. Electronic Arts continues to develop games based on Westwood's Command & Conquer series.

EA Los Angeles/EALA (2002–2010)
Founded in 1995 as DreamWorks Interactive. In February 2000, Electronic Arts acquired DreamWorks Interactive and the studio became Electronic Arts Los Angeles.
EA Los Angeles (also known as EALA) was formed by the fusion of three EA studios: EALA (DreamWorks version), Westwood Studios, and EA Pacific (formally Westwood Pacific). EALA continues to drive innovation in game technology and design by employing a first-class creative staff of game and film industry talent. EALA currently develops and produces games for the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. In January 2004, EALA relocated to a new, custom-designed West Los Angeles campus, which can house an additional 650+ development experts and creative artists.

Victory Games (2011)
Victory Games is a video game developer founded in 2010. After EA Los Angeles started up their new internal group, Danger Close, and switched it's focus to the Medal of Honor series, EA launched a new studio named Victory Games to continue the Command & Conquer franchise. Its under the leadership of general manager Jon Van Caneghem formerly of Trion Worlds. In December 2011, EA integrated Victory Games into the BioWare label and renamed the studio to BioWare Victory. The BioWare label was then dropped in November 2012 and the studio name reverted to Victory Games.
